Nina Colburn is an American who grew up hearing and speaking Spanish from childhood and moved to Mexico City
where she lived and worked for over thirty years.
Nina was trained to be a language teacher at Berlitz School of Languages, where she was proud to teach English to two Mexican presidents as well as to high level politicians and industrialists.
Nina was hired by General Food Corporation as their official translator, Spanish to English and English to Spanish.
She quickly saw the need for language instruction and began teaching Spanish to the American executives and English to their Mexican counterparts.
After many years of teaching and translating the Spanish language in Mexico, Nina was invited by the Director of the United States Trade Comission to join a local branch of the Foreign Service in Mexico City.
Now Nina Colburn is living in Denver Colorado and is at the helm of Effective Cultural Connections.
